A Tiny Tale

When we began Tiny Lights three years ago it took the help of nearly everyone in our community to pull it off.

Our kids wrote & recorded the radio spots.

Our friends painted signs & decorated venues.

And our neighbours built the stages.

We were a delightful, one day, mostly local, itsy bitsy party, offering an unique festival experience.

From shadow puppets to banjo workshops, topped off with incredible Canadian indie folk bands is how we got our start.

This Festival is Different

We don't have big crowds or a big ticket price.

We have an authentic community atmosphere.

We have small, intimate venues.

We're an entirely unique art & music festival.

But Thats Not All

We’re introducing alternative energy to power our stage. Pedal bikes & solar power to be exact.

We're introducing incredible indie musicians from across Canada.

Some you've heard of, others you need to hear.

We’re introducing two full days worth of participatory activities for every age and interest.

Tiny Doesn't Mean Insignificant

We’re screening an award winning movie.

We’re hosting award winning music.

We’ll hear from award winning writers & poets.

We’re composting all our garbage and making soil for the community.

We’re celebrating Fathers Day with a special brunch presented by Whitewater.

We’re making it all free for kids 12 years old and younger.

In Fact

We’re doing more in three days than you can possibly imagine. Check our website & buy tickets. You can also purchase tickets from The Goods in Ymir & The Booksmythe on Baker St. in Nelson.

Oh, and like us on Facebook for updates on new acts and special stuff we only announce there!
